Type: Cornish Yurt
Yellowhammer (named after the farmland bird that frequents our hedgerows) comes from lovely Tim Hutton at Yurtworks who made Barn Owl yurt. Like Barn Owl it's all steam-bent coppiced ash roof poles, cherry-wood trellis and hanging shelves all lovingly made; you can do a 360 degree tour or see photos in the gallery.
Yellowhammer happily accommodates a family of 5 with a proper double bed and, for children, a single futon "twingle" bed, an original fold-out "ZedBed" and a child-sized roll-out.
The yurt is furnished with table and chairs and a dresser from local antiques fairs and junk shops, hand-painted and finished with beeswax polish and there's a great wood-burner for the cooler evenings.
We aim to have everything here that you need to make for a wonderful experience whatever the time of year!
