Type: Cornish Yurt
Yellowhammer (named after the farmland bird that frequents our hedgerows) comes from lovely Tim Hutton at Yurtworks who made Barn Owl yurt. If you've stayed in Barn Owl you'll know what to expect - steam bent ash roof poles, cherry-wood hanging shelves all lovingly made; you can do a 360 degree tour or see photos in the gallery.
Yellowhammer happily accommodates a family of 5 with a proper double bed and, for children, a single futon "twingle" bed, a fold-out foam mattress and a child-sized roll-out.
The yurt is furnished with table and chairs and a dresser from local antiques fairs and junk shops, hand-painted and finished with beeswax polish and there's a great wood-burner for the cooler evenings.
We aim to have everything here that you need to make for a wonderful experience whatever the time of year!
